from of old and declared it? And you are My
witnesses! Is there a God besides Me? There

Moffatt—Fear nothing, dread not in the days
to come; have I not foretold it and announced

I [the Lord] am with you to save you and to
deliver you…. And I will grant mercy to you.

Moffatt—Never fear…the Eternal says, for I
will be with you to rescue you…. I will have
pity on you.

NIV—Do not be afraid…declares the Lord, for
I am with you and will save you and deliver
you…. I will show you compassion.

Kenneth Copeland — Hidden In God

04 Nov

Kenneth And Gloria Copeland

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the
most High shall abide under the shadow of
the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is
my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him
will I trust…. He shall cover thee with his
feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust:
his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Psalm 91:1-2, 4

No matter where you live, there are no safe
places anymore on this earth. No matter where
you go there is no security outside of God. But
as believers, we have security everywhere we
go because God is looking after us. He’s our
shield, our fortress, our refuge.

Absolute safety belongs to the one who
says of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my
fortress.” That is the one of whom David said,
“He shall cover thee with his feathers, and
under his wings shalt thou trust; his truth shall
be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be
afraid…” (Psalm 91:4-5).

To live free while you’re here on the earth,
you must know the truth of God’s covenant
promises to you in Christ, and use that truth
like a shield and a buckler.

How do you use the truth like a shield and
a buckler? By trusting in it. By being steadfast
in your faith and by staying in the Word every
day. Proverbs 18:10 in The Amplified Bible says,
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the
[consistently] righteous man [upright and in
right standing with God] runs into it and is
safe, high [above evil] and strong.”

When you stay in God’s Word consistently,
His words will become the first things that
come to your mind in any situation so you can
speak them out in faith. His promises will rise
up within you in times of trouble and be the
shield, fortress or refuge you need.

When events in the world start to look dark
and troubled, don’t be moved by the things
that are going on around you. Remember,
instead, that God has the ability, the wonderful
ability, to deliver you.
